Josh is a Senior Project Manager for Highways England’s Major Projects Directorate in the South West; currently responsible for the delivery a £330 million road project in Cornwall and closing out the project to deliver a new junction on the M49 near Bristol.
Prior to joining Highways England in 2016, Josh spent 8 years as part of the team at Bristol Airport, delivering a wide range of projects to sustainably increase capacity and maintain high standards of safety for airport users. It was during this time that he was sponsored to undertake an HNC in Construction.
“My real driver is being involved in projects that have a positive impact on people’s lives, getting parents home from work in time to see their kids before they go to bed, or enabling businesses to reliably plan their deliveries to help grow our economy”
“As an industry, construction has not always been viewed as an attractive career choice. I wanted to be involved with Generation for Change, to help spread the message to those starting out that it’s a very exciting place to be. It’s one of very few professions where the results of your hard work are tangible, and often for many years to come.”
