CE Devon are delighted to be holding a site visit to Armada Way and Royal Parade hosted by Morgan Sindall.
These are two of four projects that have been awarded to Morgan Sindall via the SCAPE framework to provide an improved Public Realm in Plymouth City Centre and to create a modern, brighter, more environmentally friendly public space.

- Armada Way – Morgan Sindall are revitalising the route from North Cross roundabout through the city centre providing a clear visual link to the sea, which was the original ambition of Armada Way. Under ad design and build contract the team are delivering a new urban park which will be over one kilometre long, lined on either side by an avenue of trees. Beneath the ground there will be a new ‘Sustainable Urban Drainage’ (SUDs) system that will form part of a wider strategic network in the city centre. The system includes ‘rain gardens’ and swales which integrate the drainage system with the new planting to make the best use of surface water. Construction materials have been selected for long-term robustness and durability, and the intention is to reuse some of the existing materials from Armada Way to reduce the carbon footprint.
- Royal Parade Bus Improvement Scheme – a transformative project designed to enhance public transport infrastructure and improve the pedestrian experience along one of the city’s busiest routes. The scheme is enhancing accessibility while ensuring continued access for businesses and residents throughout the programme.
