Collaboration Initiative Certificate Training Day

With Collaborative Procurement now becoming an enforceable benchmark for compliance with the Building Safety Act this one-day training event is a vitally important first step for individuals, and their organisations, in helping them to change their mindset and behaviours to work more effectively in a collaborative way.

The aims of this face-to-face training day are to help participants to define; recognise; explain; discuss; practice and apply some of the key psychological and behavioural factors that influence the everyday effectiveness of collaboration between people and other organisations.

Key subject matter and content is introduced progressively through the use of a case study and an experiential construction exercise all based in group work, discussion and plenary feedback. Topics covered include: Mindset, attitude and behaviour; 7 keys to Effective Collaboration; Interference Factors; Non Value Added Activities; A 4-Part Model of Collaboration; and the Issues of Change and transition.

This day is being offered at a unique one-off price of £150 and is available to the first 20 CEGC and CESW members who register and pay.

The venue for the day is kindly being provided by Kier at their Learning Hub, NEM House, 37-41 Clarence Street, Gloucester, GL1 1EA. Coffee and tea will be available from 8.30am to ensure a prompt start at 9am. The day will close no later than 5.30pm.

During the day there will be a mid-morning and mid-afternoon break where free coffee and tea will be available but lunch is not provided. An hour is allowed for lunch with there being a number of nearby locations where food can be purchased.

For successful completion of the training day each participant will receive a certificate from NOCN, the only awarding body in the UK which specialises in productivity and focus on increasing the UK’s competitiveness globally. As the second-largest awarding organisation in the UK construction sector, NOCN is committed to working for a better future for UK construction.

The day is being run by LeadersMeets who in partnership with Construction Excellence South West (CESW) formed the Construction Industry Collaboration Initiative (CICI) earlier this year supported by the Gloucestshire Construction Excellence Club as the founding member.
