SUMMARY:G4C Devon - Behind the scenes at Exeter College's new Flowerpots Sports Pitch & Pavilion
DESCRIPTION:G4C Devon are hosting a behind the scenes site tour with Exeter College’s Steve Strang\, Executive Director of Estates and Sustainability at Exwick Sport’s Hub on Friday 7th March. Steve will talk about his career\, the College’s plan for the future\, the constraints of trying to grow in a city centre and the development of the new Flowerpots facilities. Make sure to bring your PPE as the talk will be followed by a tour onto site to view the new sports pitches and pavilion that is due to open in late Spring 2025. We’ll then walk to Mill on the Exe for a bacon roll (or similar)\, a hot drink and a networking session for young professionals in the construction industry. \nDocuments will be issued ahead of attending to be read in advance of joining us on the 7th March as we’ll be required to sign in on entry of the Exwick Sport’s Hub. The closest car park will be Flowerpot Lane Car Park or Okehampton Street Car Park which are a 10-15 minute walk along the river to the Sports Hub – on road parking is available closer. The College have requested that we do not park in the Sports Hub car park – anyone parked there will be asked to move. \n**Please bring PPE\, as we’ll be attending an active building site. You’ll not be allowed onto the site without suitable footwear\, hard hat and high vis.**
