CESW Leadership Dinners Foster Critical Discussions Across South West England

Throughout June, Construction Excellence South West (CESW) has successfully convened a series of Leadership Dinners across the region, engaging industry leaders in pivotal conversations aimed at addressing pressing challenges and shaping the future of construction.

The dinners brought together a diverse array of stakeholders from the construction sector. Each event featured a range of thought-provoking topics that sparked lively debates and insightful exchanges among attendees.

  • Plymouth – 6 June 2024 at St Elizabeth’s House Hotel Discussions in Plymouth centred on themes such as Mental Health in Construction and the balance between short-term project demands and long-term workforce development strategies.

  • Cornwall – 13 June 2024 at Padstow Harbour Hotel Cornwall’s event explored topics including the impact of economic factors on the construction sector and the effectiveness of existing organizational policies.

  • Bath – 27 June 2024 at Walcot House In Bath, discussions focused on leadership challenges under the Building Safety Act and the future skills required in the industry.

Looking ahead, CESW has announced the next instalment in its Leadership Dinner series:

  • Dorset – 19 September 2024 The upcoming event in Dorset promises to continue fostering collaborative efforts and strategic initiatives within the construction industry.
