John Savage - Chair
John Savage began his career as a civil engineer working within complex, regulated environments, where he learned the discipline, responsibility and systems thinking required to deliver projects safely and sustainably. Over time, his path expanded into education, leadership and digital transformation, but the thread has remained the same: integrating people, processes and technology. His story is about building foundations — in infrastructure, in organisations and in individuals.
He is driven by a belief that communities flourish when skills are joined up, learning is meaningful and ambition is supported by clear pathways. Through designing partnerships, learning ecosystems and digital platforms he loves translating big vision into practical action. He enjoys this painstaking work of building relationships through listening carefully, capturing stakeholder needs, aligning diverse voices and creating structured and healthy solutions.
His vision is to help shape resilient skills pipelines and future-ready institutions that raise competency, confidence, and joy — strengthening industry while enabling people to unlock their potential and align their purpose with those of their respective enterprises.
