Our mission
As Chair of the Cultural Leadership Focus Group, my initial mission is to explore and understand the cultural challenges facing the construction sector today, from leadership behaviours and workplace norms to issues of trust, inclusion, and team dynamics.
Drawing on my own experience in leading cultural change across multiple industries, I believe that open dialogue, practical tools, and shared learning are key to creating lasting, positive impact.
This group will offer workshops, resources, and collaborative spaces to support those driving cultural change within their organisations. But this is just the starting point.
I warmly invite others across the industry, whatever your background or experience, to join the group, share your perspective, and help shape its future direction.

More about the group
Cultural leadership is not a fixed formula, it’s a constantly evolving element of successful, forward-thinking businesses. It’s about how we lead, how we include, how we listen, and how we create workplaces where people genuinely thrive.
This Focus Group is a space for open conversation, shared learning, and collective action around the cultural challenges and opportunities facing the construction sector. As Chair, I believe cultural leadership must be rooted in inclusivity, community, and voice, doing the right thing, for everybody.
We’re inviting business leaders from across the industry to join us, especially those who bring established networks, experience, or fresh ideas to the table. Whether you’re leading a large organisation or working on the ground to shape team culture, your insight matters.
If you’re passionate about shaping a more people-focused, values-led sector, we’d love you to be part of this group. Together, we can explore what cultural leadership means in practice, and how to turn it into action.
