Leadership and the Construction Industry Course beginning 10th September

Leadership has never been more important to across the Construction Sector if it is going to embrace and succeed in our fast changing post-pandemic times under a new Government.

Leadership should be at the very heart of every business creating the environment where people are motivated to collaborate, solve problems, be productive, be successful and feel as if they want to accomplish more.

How good is the leadership in your business? How good is your leadership?

If you answer these questions honestly you probably should be considering developing your present and existing talent. Possibly, you should even be considering updating your own leadership skills, for like all other skills, leadership capacity depreciates over time as well as becoming outdated particularly in fast changing times.

Earlier this year CESW, CICI and Gloucestershire College came together to provide a Leadership course aimed at the Construction sector. Some 23 people enrolled and obtained a certificate through the 8 bi-weekly days (over 16 weeks) held in Gloucester.

Over each of the 8 modules we asked for feedback (1 Low to 10 High) for each day and here is what we got:

· ‘Did the day hold your interest’ Feedback ranged from 8.3 to 9.3 with an average of 8.8.

· ‘I was encouraged to participate’ Feedback ranged from 8.6 to 9.6 with an average of 9.2.

· ‘The content was pertinent and relevant to my work’ Feedback ranged from 7.9 to 8.9 with an average of 8.7.

The course is funded by the DfE and involves only a minimal registration fee.

We have 16 people so far registered to join the 10th of September course.
