Election Update

Today is the final day for prospective parliamentary candidates to submit their election nomination papers. After 4pm today, the list of candidates for each constituency will be confirmed.

Each of the main party’s manifestos are due to be published next week and will be analysed accordingly to see what pledges have been made for the built environment.

European elections are also currently taking place and voting is due to end this weekend. We should know early results on Sunday night for the member states.

On Monday (3 June), the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero announced the deadline for a consultation on the electricity system has been extended until 21 June.
