Tilbury Douglas have kindly offered 15 spaces for CE Devon members and guests to meet Douglas, their new humanoid robot, during his visit to Exeter on 8 June.
Douglas is part of an exciting trial exploring how emerging robotics could support construction teams in the future. The aim is to understand how humanoid robots may help with site-based data capture, progress recording and wider digital construction workflows, while allowing colleagues to focus more time on technical, operational and decision-making activities.
As part of Tilbury Douglas’ wider digital transformation journey, Douglas is being used to investigate how technologies such as robotics, imaging and site data collection could contribute to improved efficiency, reporting and health and safety insight across live construction environments.
Attendees will have the opportunity to meet Douglas, learn more about the thinking behind the trial, and discuss how innovation of this kind could support the construction industry as it continues to evolve.
